Why credits are sold

ChessZing is free to play. Credits are an optional purchase that unlock best-move hints and game review. Every purchase pays for the servers, databases and bandwidth that keep ChessZing running, and supports the developer in continuing to build and improve the game for the Chinese Chess community. Thank you for that support.

When we refund

• Unused purchase within 14 days. If you have not spent any credits from a purchase, you can request a full refund within 14 days of the payment.
• Duplicate or mistaken charge. If you were charged twice for one purchase, or credits were not added to your account after a successful payment, we refund the extra charge or fix the balance, whichever you prefer.
• Service failure. If a feature you paid credits for did not work because of a fault on our side, we return the credits spent.

When we cannot refund

• Credits that have already been spent on hints or reviews.
• Purchases older than 14 days, except where the law of your country gives you a longer right.
• Sign-up bonus credits, which are free and have no cash value.

How to request a refund

Email hello@chesszing.com from the address on your ChessZing account, with the date of the purchase and, if you have it, the Stripe receipt number. We answer within 3 business days. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe and usually appear within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank. The refunded credits are removed from your balance.

Your legal rights

Nothing in this policy limits the rights you have under the consumer protection law of your country, including rights that apply to digital content in the European Union and the United Kingdom.
