Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to learn the rules?
About 20 minutes for the piece moves and 20 more for the special rules. After that you can already play a full game against the easiest computer level.
Is Xiangqi like international chess?
The goal is the same, checkmate the king, but pieces move on the intersections, the Cannon captures by jumping, and the Elephant and Advisor never leave their own side.
Does ChessZing work on a phone?
Yes. Lessons, puzzles and games all work in the browser on iPhone and Android, nothing to install.
