Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account to play online?
No. You can play right away with a random name. An account is only needed if you want to buy credits for best-move hints and game review.
What happens if I lose my connection?
Your seat is kept. Reopen the same room link and the game continues from where it stopped. If nobody is around for a few minutes the clock decides, like in a real tournament.
How is the rating calculated?
ChessZing uses the Elo system. Beating a stronger opponent gives you more points, losing to a weaker one costs more. New players start at 1500.
